preloader?

once again, pretty damn funny, even though it is rather short (its a trailer, duh). However despite being short, it still has a decent file size, and no preloaded. Flashes without preloaders jump right to streaming, which results in skipiness. I had to pause it using right-click menu and wait for it to load (which is just bad practice). but other than that, a brilliant spoof on a spoofable series (coz spoofable is a word now).

"Hey, she looks like she's being attacked over there! I'll go put on a shirt and help her!" - XD

very funny

i now feel guilty about the deaths of all the baked goods i have eaten. To think of all those innocent muffins, cupcakes, pancakes, cookies, etc... I'm a terrible murderer of innocent lives!

On a different note, excellent animating, and the story was very engaging. kept me totally entertained all the way through. Keep up the good work

great

wait.. so the whole blow each other up thing was just in the book, right? never actually happened? Cute. Great animating.
great place for an easter egg, bty. no one would think to look there =P

CircusFreakFlash responds:

Yea, It's all just part of his story. -and I did sneak my signature in the book as it zooms out. Also if you watch closely... when the first fireball hits his tower, the explosion forms a skull for a split second. They aren't really actually easter eggs, but it's just a lil somethin :)

i think i get it

well, i went back and watched the others, and now i think i get the gist. Basically, he has been fighting versions himself from different places in time all along.

The first time he goes back he ends up in the purple tofubot or whatever, and gives him past self a tofu capsule while in disguise. then he gets attacked and beat by his past self, and encounters his past self again, only to get punched in the face and almost shot to death. After that he re-visits the oracle after waiting for his past self to leave to follow the map.

I assume that in TOFU4 (or whatever it will be called) he will go back in time a little further than the last time, end up in the tan tofubot (from the first video), and will get killed by his past self. Then is he dead?

Did i get it? I think i got it mostly right, but I can't say i know what the giant white tofubot at the end is.

Anyway, after all that, great series! You got me puzzling over it, which is a good thing in my book.

danomano65 responds:

i like that you are speculating. that's what i wanted.

overboard, eh?

overachieve much? Eh, can't blame ya; i can relate. Pretty good for a 1-2 class. I assume you had prior experience? I'm sure your classmates hate you for that =P

Tophatwonder responds:

lol yeah, well i'm the only one in my course, its a 11 and 12 split and the courses are separated, the only other person doing my course never showed up.

so the rest of the class is doing drafting while i chill on the other side of the class with my animations. :D

freaky

So... he killed himself or something? Or just a guy that looked like him? I think I'll go with himself, for now. more interesting that way. Plot twist, anyone?

Pretty original idea: giant war robots made out of tofu controlled by people inside little virtual reality orbs or something like that. Neat-o

danomano65 responds:

i think you understand this more than anyone else before.

no animation, but great graphics and overall good

overall, quite good. The graphics were the most impressive thing about this movie, but the song and message were also pluses. Great backgrounds. The animation could have been much better and much fuller, but i guess that is the price for high-detail. You said it had 3D in it, but i saw only 2D. Did i miss something?
Out of curiosity, was this supposed to be anti or pro military, or just emotionally recognizing the soldiers, or something else?

hebbazz responds:

We just wanted to show the horrors of war really from the soldiers point of view.
Actually the first thing you see in the movie is 3d with some 2d layers on it. There is some other 3d stuff there too. Anyway, thanks for the great review!

Well, you technically got it done it time

And did a bloody good job, I say. There were (very small) pieces of animation that were not as smooth as the other, but it was all great by any standard.

Two guys walk into a graveyard, hunchback attacks, one of them sits down and does nothing while a random epic battle ensures... hell, why not? It doesn't need to make sense. =P

Who was the other guy, anyway? It didn't quite seem like he had a point... and why did he speak Japanese? Just wondering

Anyway, great graphics, great animation, funny, and awesome. 5/5.

FleckoGold responds:

Hah! Nah, Trever was more of a cameo. He's from my TESSONAS series. Just a fun little spin on things.

Still Great

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The animation quality shows great improvement, but it lacked a little bit of the originality and humor of the first. Still, that does not detract from the fact that it is an awesome film, just maybe in a slightly different way.

The adding of a plot line is an excellent idea, even if it is very undeveloped at this point. I am looking forward to "disk 2", even if it does take a while.

The animator is more important than the speed of the completion of the animations, however, so take your time and make sure to take care of your self. If anything in life were easy, there wouldn't really be a point to anything, eh?

Great movie and best of luck to ya!

Falconer02 responds:

Thanks a lot! I'm taking my time on the second part, so I can imagine a lot of people are going to hate me for that. But great review.

So simple...

Yet so awesome!

It's odd how a single guy simply dancing around on a screen can be so entertaining. I think it was a combination of being very in-sync with the music (what FPS was it in?) and the extreme creativity of the actions he did. I did notice the difference in animation style starting with when everything went all rainbow, but I would not have seen it if I wasn't looking for it.

As for a sequel, that would be cool, but it you want to work on other stuff, go for it. Just submit it, maybe? =) I am sure plenty of people will try to make their own versions of this, but we all know none of them will match up with the original.

Anyways, thoroughly entertaining, well animated (even if the drawing weren't that advance or complicated) and I saw a lot of creativity. Keep it up!

DonkeysBazooka responds:

thanks your reveiw was helpful.

as for the FPS, i'm actually ashamed to admit it was really only 18 fps. if and when i do a sequel, ill definitely make it at least 25 fps.

and that would be cool to see other people's versions of this. i'd like to know i started a wave. but i'm quite sure people could do a better job than this. its just a matter of time before someone proves it.
